Dr. Cohin Kakar is the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Slyngshot Health.
He comes from a background in the big pharmaceutical industry, having worked in Global Medical Affairs at various Fortune 150 companies for over the past ten years. Dr. Kakar has served on the medical teams for some of the most successful drug products globally, in roles ranging from Medical Digital Strategy, Clinical Trial Management, Customer Experience, and most recently as a Medical Science Liaison. Additionally, Dr. Kakar has served as adjunct faculty at Purdue University, Butler University, and Sullivan University and is a published author in the field of Oncology.
Dr. Kakar earned his Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Biology and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship from the University of Louisville. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm. D.) from Sullivan University, where he achieved Dean’s List Honors. Additionally, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Trial Management at Eli Lilly & Company and will be completing a Certification in Pharmacogenomics at Harvard Medical School in the Summer of 2019.
From his experience in various therapeutic areas, ranging from Immunology to Mental Health, Dr. Kakar has found a passion for Personalized Medicine to bring better and more customized solutions for the patients that need it the most.
